Paneer butter masala |
Ingredients
6 ripe tomatoes (blanched)
2 tbs cashew nuts
Cubed paneer-200 gms
Onion chopped- 1/2 cup
Fresh Cream- 1/4th cup
Butter - 2 tbs
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Garam Masala- 1 tsp
Chili powder -1/2tsp
Sugar-1 tsp
Kasuri methi - 1tsp
Salt- as per taste
Oil- 1 tsp
Water-1/4th cup
Preparation
- Take a pan and fry onion in oil and puree it along with blanched tomatoes. Soak cashew nuts in hot water(1/4th cup). After 10 mins grind the cashews into fine paste.
- Take a pan and heat butter (1 tbs) add cumin seeds. Now reduce the flame to medium and pour the onion & tomato puree in to pan and cook for 5 mins and followed by cashew paste and sugar.
- Add crushed kasuri methi, garam masala,chili powder and salt. Stir and let it simmer for some time.
- Add the paneer cubes and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Add small cup of water and let it cook on medium heat till you get the desired curry consistency. Remove from fire, stir in remaining butter and fresh cream.
- Serve the paneer butter masala with any bread of your choice.
